Leo Irizarri founded Wealth Transfer Consultants in 2016 with a clear goal in mind: to make financial planning less complicated and more personal.
As a financial advisor offering comprehensive financial solutions to clients, Leo strives to create an environment where clients feel like they’re chatting with a friend who just happens to know a lot about finances. He considers the conversations he has with clients the best part of his day, taking time to learn the ins and outs of their unique stories and becoming invested in helping them reach their desired outcomes.
Leo earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida in 2007. His first clients were his own parents, a source of great pride for Leo. In the years since, he’s been laser-focused on helping other families achieve their ideal retirement. Leo stresses safety, simplicity and authenticity while settling for nothing less than excellence: “Every plan I help build is one I would create for my mom,” he says.
Leo has called Tampa, Florida, home for more than 20 years, residing there with his wife, Vanessa, and three kids: Micah, Elizabeth and Sam. Whether he’s out fishing, hitting the gym or savoring a good cigar, Leo’s all about enjoying the simple things in life — just like he advises his clients to do with their wealth.

Vanessa joined Wealth Transfer Consultants as an opportunity to work alongside her husband, Leo, and help build better financial futures for their clients. Her sincerity and warm nature help her connect with people while keeping Leo informed about the lives of each client, including health updates, grandkids, and recent travels.
“We’re like peanut butter and jelly,” Vanessa says. “He brings the substance, and I add some sweetness.”
Growing up as a small-town farm girl, Vanessa learned the value of hard work, enjoying the beauty in simple things, and connecting with people. Vanessa is also a Certified Professional Life Coach who enjoys spending her spare time with friends, being in the gym, and creating floral arrangements as a hobby. For the past decade, she has been making all occasions and event spaces, big or small, beautiful through floral design.
Away from the office, Vanessa and Leo enjoy spending their time together as a family of five, with three active kids - Micah, Elizabeth, and Sam. Their adventures often include bike rides, trips to the pool, and family vacations in the mountains.
